Mist Kist Birmans began as a small, family home cattery devoted to the sacred Birman — drawn to their gentle nature, silken coats, and unmistakable sapphire eyes.

Over the years we have focused on a few carefully chosen lines, raising every kitten underfoot in our home so they grow up social, confident, and deeply bonded to people.

(Placeholder — replace with your own story: how the cattery started, the cats who shaped it, and what you are known for.)

In the temple of Lao-Tsun lived the priest Mun-Ha and his white cat, Sinh, who kept watch before the golden goddess Tsun-Kyan-Kse — she of the deep sapphire eyes.

When raiders struck and Mun-Ha fell, Sinh placed his paws upon his master. His white fur turned to gold, his eyes to sapphire, his face and legs to the colour of earth — yet the four paws resting on the priest stayed pure white.

So the Birman still carries that gift: sapphire eyes, a golden coat, and four white gloves.

A cream to golden body, darker points, and always four white gloves.
